Requirements: Store and retrieve raw materials according to printed production instructions. Operate fabricating equipment—shears, press brake, flanger, burn table — to form tank components. Requirements: Carefully inspect all tank surfaces. Report any problems such as dents, sloppy weld seams, etc. Remove any weld spatter with hand chipper and/or electric grinder. With a solvent-dampened shop cloth, wipe down all tank surfaces and move tank to painting area. If tank is to be painted later, move it carefully to temporary storage.
Requirements: Study manuals and be familiar with proper operation and maintenance of painting equipment. Before painting tank, be sure all surfaces are free of dust, dirt, and spatter. Apply paint evenly without runs or drips, and carefully move tank forward on monorail.
